My sister loves babysitting Winston.
There are a few reasons for this (she loves the way he follows her around the apartment, she loves the way he curls up beside her in bed), but one of the biggest is that he's so easy to take out on a walk.
For context, my sister and I grew up with Irish Terriers.
Irish Terriers, or "Red Devils" as they're known, can be notoriously headstrong and (at least in my experience) have a tendency to completely ignore their owner when faced with something enticing to chase like a deer or a cow or another dog far off in the distance that looks like fun 😂
Suffice to say, my sister and I spent a lot of our childhood running around parks and open fields like headless chickens to stop Fred (our Irish Terrier) from getting himself in trouble.
And yes, we did end up keeping him mostly on the lead (unless we could be absolutely certain the coast was clear) to preserve our sanity.
Winston, on the other hand, is the easiest off-leash doggy in the world. He never strays too far from you while on a walk and because he's nervous of most other dogs, he has no interest in running off to play with them. The only thing one has to watch out for is poop (dog/fox/rabbit), because that is Winston's favorite snack...

Which branded dog food is best? 🦴
Ultra-processed, carb-heavy food can really affect a dog's metabolism, sateity, hormones, and inflammation.
But how do you know what dog food brands are healthy and nutritious vs. which are very good at marketing?
If you're based in the US, the Dog Food Advisor is a great place to start. It categorizes popular brands by budget/wet/dry/fresh and more and highlights those that may contain filler products (a lot of cheap dog food products do!).
Plenty of startups have a company dog or mascot, but Rufus is the most memorable. Born in 1994 in California, Rufus was Amazon's original mascot.
Owned by one of the e-commerce giant's first engineers, Rufus attended company meetings and chased tennis balls through the office. He died in 2009, but Rufus lives on in Amazon’s dog-friendly company culture.
Amazon employees are free to bring their dogs to work and two of the company’s office buildings in Seattle are even named after the beloved Corgi.
Winston's new dog car seat 🚗
