As I write to you now, it's 35 degrees celsius in London. That's 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Too hot for me. Too hot for Winston ๐ฅ
We're not used to these temperatures! As many of you may know, Brits love to moan about the weather and when we're not moaning about the cold and the dark (which is 95% of the time), we're moaning about the extreme heat (1% of the time). So yes, for about 4% of the time we're enjoying nice, reasonably warm weather conditions and not talking about it...
Jeez, I'm even boring myself ๐
Anyway, our (mine and Winston's) coping mechanism for this weather is to stay inside with the curtains drawn, the lights off, and a fan blasting. I take Winston out first thing in the morning (pre-8am), once for a very quick wee at 2/3pm and then again at 5/6pm (I carry him downstairs, put him in the shade, carry him straight back up) and a walk at 8pm.
He's faring pretty well! Just sleeping a little more than usual and enjoying the frozen carrot sticks I'm giving him.
What we really need is this amazing flower spray I saw the other day in a video featuring lots of happy corgis ๐
watch with the sound on. you won't regret it.
Someone commented that they now know what a corgi mosh pit would be like and I couldn't stop laughing.

The corgi race that got the royal baby name wrong ๐
When the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were expecting their first child in 2013, gambling company Ladbrokes ran a promotional corgi race to predict the baby name. Six corgis, each wearing a sash with a name on it, were released at the same time. Alexandra crossed the finish line first.
Princess Charlotte was born in 2015.
The race also featured George, Victoria, Elizabeth, and Diana โ a lineup that tells you everything about the optimism of royal baby name predictions. There's no record of what happened to the corgis after the race, but they almost certainly had stronger opinions about treats than about the succession...

Maia
Beautiful Maia has spent a year in China and is still waiting to be rehomed by someone in the UK ๐ She is quite young (the exact age is unknown) and looks like a cardigan corgi or a corgi collie cross.
